ASHP Named Among Best Places to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare

I AM THRILLED to announce that ASHP has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2017. As part of this national recognition, ASHP will be featured in the Best Places to Work in Healthcare supplement along with the October 2, 2017, issue of Modern Healthcare. Be sure to pick up a copy of the magazine or check it out online. ASHP will also be honored at the 2017 Best Places to Work Awards Dinner on Thursday, September 28, 2017, in Las Vegas.

Modern Healthcare is a leader in healthcare business news, research, and data. Now in its 10th year, Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work recognizes 150 healthcare organizations that are outstanding employers in the healthcare industry on a national level. Best Places to Work are selected based on two surveys administered by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work. The first survey looked at our policies, practices, benefits, and demographics. ASHP’s over 200 staff members also completed an extensive second survey that assessed employee engagement and satisfaction.

It’s a great honor to make this list. It shows that our wonderful staff truly enjoys working at ASHP and supporting you, our members, in your efforts to provide the best care possible to the patients you serve. Plus, a spot on the national Best Places to Work list gives us a distinct advantage in hiring the best talent in the country so that we can continue to provide the high level of service you have come to expect from ASHP. We work hard to make ASHP a place where people can thrive, and this prestigious award demonstrates the passion we have for supporting our members and each other.

Being recognized by Modern Healthcare as a Best Place to Work in Healthcare is the icing on the cake after ASHP was honored in 2016 as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post. Just receiving one of these awards was more than one could expect given the competitive nature of these highly prestigious recognition programs, but this recent nationwide recognition by Modern Healthcare further shows how spectacular ASHP members and our staff truly are.

This year marks ASHP’s 75th anniversary, and I am so proud of all that we have accomplished. We wouldn’t be where we are today without all of the hard work and enthusiasm of our team members as we lead the way to better patient care.
