New ASHP Certification Courses Now Available

Mar 28, 2012

ASHP is now offering a better way to prepare for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties’ (BPS’) Pharmacotherapy Certification Examination with the Pharmacotherapy Review Course on ASHP eLearning. Designed based on the domains, tasks, and knowledge statements developed by the BPS for the exam, the course will help you prepare by identifying areas needed for in-depth review of pharmacotherapy issues. Available as a package or as individual modules.

In addition, look for the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialty Review Course that will provide materials to help you prepare for the BPS exam in this specialty. Once certified, these activities are offered for those wishing to recertify via a continuing education program.

The components of the Ambulatory Care Review Course are available as individual modules or as a whole package. Modules range from .75 to 2.5 CE hours for a total of 16 hours of CE credit. The Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course may be completed for recertification credit, either in live or home study format, up to two times, in nonconsecutive years, during the seven-year certification cycle. An online assessment process ensures that participants have mastered the content and maintained contemporary knowledge and skills in all domains.

Available now through ASHP eLearning are Literature Study Modules that provide BCACPs with material on contemporary topics related to the five domains of ambulatory care specialty practice, and are available for recertification CE credit.
