Six teams from hospitals and health systems across the country are the recipients of ASHP’s 2011 Best Practices Award ^[1]. Pharmacy teams from the University of North Carolina Hospitals, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, The University of Chicago Medical Center, University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and Froedtert Hospital and Medical College of Wisconsin won the prestigious award and were honored at a poster reception at ASHP’s recent Midyear Clinical Meeting in New Orleans. Topics included everything from enhancing smart pump capabilities to medication safety improvement to improving the pharmacy practice model.
